Investment through Land Water and Wool (LWW) over the past five years, has put the Australian wool industry at the world forefront of knowledge for sustainable grazing land management. Working closely with woolgrowers across Australia, LWW has generated new knowledge, built on existing understandings and developed practical tools and advice for on-farm management. It has also engaged State and regional resource management agencies, to share information and ideas that have already led to the adoption of new approaches to land management. The findings contained within this Final Report emphasise profitable production and sound management on those parts of properties that retain a strong natural element - areas of native vegetation (including grasslands), pastoral rangelands, rivers and saltlands. In particular it has looked for ways that woolgrowers can make more money while improving the environment.
